Cyrillic fonts on your computer

Windows XP

Windows XP is very easy to russify. It's similar to Windows 2000, maybe even easier. You can already read Russin text in the Internet Explorer and MS Office documents, but if have Russian programs that have menu text in Russian this is what you have to do:

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel

Windows XP by default has a Category View of the control panel. It looks different from Control Panel in Win2000, however you have a choice to switch to the «Classic View».

If you in the Category View click on Date, Time, Language and Regional Options and then click on Regional and Language Options.

If you use «Classic View» just go to Regional and Language Options directly. Go to AVANCED tab and right there on top you can use pull-down menu to select Russian. Click ok and you will be prompted. Follow the defaults. It recommends NO click NO. After you restart computer you will be able to read Russian text in all programs, menus and ICQ.

We hope, now you see the Cyrillic without any corruption. If not, please visit some specialized site for ways to acquire the Russian font.
